    Mohler-McLaughlin Sessions

This utterly made my day. I didn't think Southern Baptists played cards?
    Absolutely hilarious.

Obviously Mohler is not a real Puritan type. He's obviously never read Zwingli or Increase Mather.

"Cards and dice I reject entirely and would consign them to the carrion-pit" — Ulrich Zwingli (The Christian Education of Youth)

"Chapter II: Against Dicing, Cards, and such like Games" - Ιncrease Mather (A TESTIMONY Against several Prophane and Superstitious CUSTOMS, Now Practised by some in New-England, The Evil whereof is evinced from the Holy Scriptures, and from the Writings both of Ancient and Modern Divines.)

Oh wait............those were not just any cards, they were these cards:

"Christian Playing Cards. Unlike any other Deck of Cards. Each deck consists of 52 regular cards and 2 jokers that feature one of 54 different Bible verses which correspond to each card (the number is CAPITALIZED and highlighted in RED) On the Ace of Hearts is the verse: 'For God so loved the world that he gave his ONE and only son...' On the Two of Clubs is the verse: 'Again, I tell you that if TWO of you on earth agree about anything'...Now you can spread God's word while in the social company of friends. Churches can use them as part of their ministry. Children can learn the Bible as they play regular card games. NN-GCCPC"

I myself enjoy a good game of President now and then. (though I do refuse to call it by its more colorful name).

Just as chess enthusiasts replay the games of the masters, this historic tic-tac-toe game will be studied for years to come.
