Of late I have been working on the next issue of Eusebeia: The Bulletin of The Jonathan Edwards Centre for Reformed Spirituality. This issue will be excellent (trust me) as it commemorates the life and writings of Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones (1899-1981). In it we will have a sermon by the Doctor called "The Return to the Bible" preached early in his career. As well there is a piece by previous Toronto Baptist Seminary professor Dr. Leigh Powell called, "The Legacy of D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones (1899-1981): Some Analytical Perspectives." Dr. Michael Haykin will have two pieces, the first "D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones and His reading of History" and the second "D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones: Some Books By and About Him." Pastor Geoff Thomas will contribute an article (his second for Eusebeia) called, "The Piety of Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones: Submitting to the Spirit of God." And Dr. Philip Eveson of London Theological Seminary will have an article entitled "Martyn Lloyd-Jones and Theological Education." Of course, we will also have a number of book reviews, some written by yours truly. So stay tuned for its release and get yourself a copy! |
